A life shaped by service and conviction
Siddaramaiah is the Chief Minister of Karnataka and one of India's most respected mass leaders. Born in Siddaramanahundi village in Mysuru district, he rose from humble beginnings to become a two-time Chief Minister, leading the state through landmark welfare and social justice reforms.
A lawyer by training and a politician by conviction, Siddaramaiah is widely regarded as the strongest voice of the AHINDA — minorities, backward classes and Dalits — in Karnataka. His government has launched the historic 'Pancha Guarantees' delivering free electricity, monthly assistance to women, free bus travel, food security and unemployment support to millions.
He continues to inspire a new generation of Congress karyakartas, including the Ballari District Youth Congress, with his uncompromising commitment to constitutional values, secularism and social equality.
